The son of Neptune is a story about three demigods that go on a quest to save the god Thanatos. This story takes place in several areas such as Vancouver, Alaska, and Newfoundland. The main character Percy Jackson must slowly recover his memory in this action packed thriller. I liked the part when Orion (hazels horse) super speeds all the way across Canada. There are also many other exciting adventures such as when they have to hide from the giant Poleybotes. I really enjoyed the son of Neptune because it provides the reader with a lot of Greek/Roman mythology. A great thing that I noticed is that every once and a while they add some good comedy and the author has a good sense of humor for example it was funny when Percy called the ogres Canadians. One thing in the book that I didn’t like was that they kept on adding dreams which I found really un-necessary. All in all I really enjoyed reading the son of Neptune because it gave me a new perspective of mythology. I give this book a 9 out of 10.
